Theres much talk and confusion about the difference between an orangery and a conservatory.
Typically, an orangery offers a grander, atrium-style ceiling height and is quite often steel framed with an element of flat roof and significantly less glazing than a conservatory .
Recently, with the introduction of the hybrid roof systems the lines between the two types of structures are less defined than they were. Some people prefer the up market factor of the word orangery, but for some people if its fully glazed its a conservatory but if its got brick walls and a parapet style roof then its an orangery.
In truth, whether you end up with an orangery or a conservatory is purely down to what you want to call it. At Vale we can build you an Orangery or a conservatory or any variation in between!
